Our client is a well-established leader in waste management, offering skip hire services, aggregates, plant hire, demolition, and haulage. With a 24/7 waste transfer facility, they are dedicated to operational excellence and delivering exceptional customer service.

They are seeking a Service Delivery Manager to oversee and optimise their Skip and Hook Loader operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced transport coordinator or operational manager to step into a dynamic, hands-on role within a growing industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Manage the daily dispatch and retrieval of Skip and Hook Loaders, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Guarantee that deliveries, exchanges, and collections are completed on time and to the highest customer satisfaction standards.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to transport legislation, working time directives, and safety protocols, including team PPE compliance.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle operational challenges with independent decision-making and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership & Standards: Maintain high operational standards, lead the team effectively, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Proven experience in transport coordination, preferably within the waste management or recycling sector.
  • Skills: Strong scheduling and routing expertise, capable of working under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Leadership: A decisive leader who can enforce compliance and motivate a team to achieve high performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical thinker with the ability to address challenges efficiently.
  • Proximity: Must live within a 30-minute commute of the depot.

Essential: Prior experience in the waste management industry is required.
