Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Supply Officer for a Local Authority Client based in North London.

In this role, you will secure and manage a diverse supply of temporary accommodation to meet the councils statutory housing responsibilities for vulnerable households.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Secure suitable emergency accommodations, expanding the supplier list and ensuring value for money.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure health and safety compliance, and handle property-related issues and complaints.
  • Monitor and enforce contracts, manage supplier performance, and support senior managers in contract management.
  • Collect, analyse, and act on data related to accommodation demand, supply, and financial performance.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience in housing environments, specifically in temporary accommodation or property management.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and procure accommodation, particularly within the private sector.
  • Experience in conducting property inspections, ensuring health and safety compliance, and managing relationships with landlords and property providers.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and experience in monitoring supplier performance, data analysis, and reporting on accommodation-related issues.

What's on offer:

Salary: £23+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
