My client is seeking a meticulous and driven Operations Analyst to support and optimize post-trade operations, ensuring seamless execution, reconciliation, and risk mitigation across trading activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trade Support & Processing: Ensure accurate trade capture, confirmation, and settlement of OTC derivatives transactions.
  • Reconciliation & Investigation: Perform daily reconciliations across cash, positions, and P&L; investigate and resolve breaks and discrepancies.
  • Counterparty & Broker Liaison: Coordinate with prime brokers, custodians, and counterparties to resolve operational issues.
  • Collateral & Margin Management: Monitor and manage margin requirements, ensuring timely collateral movements and compliance with ISDA agreements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and propose automation or process enhancements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Support reporting requirements under EMIR, Dodd-Frank, and other relevant regulations.
  • Risk & Control: Maintain strong operational controls to mitigate risk and ensure best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an operations role within a hedge fund, investment bank, or asset management firm.
  • Strong understanding of OTC derivatives (e.g., interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, FX options).
  • Experience with trade lifecycle management, settlements, and reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with ISDA agreements, collateral management, and margining processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel, VBA, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
