Paraplanner/Financial Technical Analyst

Our client, a leading wealth management firm, is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Technical Analyst to join their team. The firm is dedicated to providing tailored financial planning and investment advice, and this role will play a critical part in ensuring high standards of client service and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

The Paraplanner/Financial Technical Analyst will provide key support to financial advisors and clients by handling a range of paraplanning and administrative duties. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with excellent communication skills to help deliver outstanding wealth management services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Attend client meetings as necessary (both face-to-face and remote) to support advisors in delivering comprehensive financial advice. Liaise with clients, third parties, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed and accurate reports on financial plans and investments. Ensure that all documentation adheres to industry standards and internal procedures.
  • Compliance and Standards: Operate within the regulatory framework of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and adhere to anti-money laundering (AML) laws. Ensure compliance with the firms internal policies and maintain updated templates for paraplanning reports.
  • Professional Development: Undertake training and continuous professional development to remain current with legislative, product, and market changes. Provide insights and suggestions to improve the financial planning and investment processes.
  • Ad-Hoc Responsibilities: Assist in other duties that align with supporting the firms goals, including administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Person Specification:

Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least four years of experience in a paraplanning or senior financial administration role.
  • A recognised Financial Services qualification.
  • Proficient in major desktop applications and financial planning software.
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent command of written English, particularly for preparing client-facing materials.
