Join Our Client's EMEA Finance Change Team as a Finance Business Analyst!

Are you ready to take your finance career to the next level? Our client, a leading financial institution headquartered in Japan, is seeking a talented Finance Business Analyst to join their dynamic EMEA Finance Change team. This exciting temporary position is based in London and offers a hybrid working pattern, requiring you to be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

Contract Details:

Duration: Until 31st March 2026
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, standard office hours - out of hours and occassional weekend work will be required
Day Rate: 700 via Umbrella Company

What You Will Do:
As a Finance Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance function to deliver all Finance aspects of the Branch Transfer project. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning & Documentation: Create a comprehensive transfer plan, including a run book, to ensure stakeholder buy-in and successful execution.
  • Data Analysis & Financial Modelling: Provide technical accounting input and conduct in-depth financial analysis.
  • Testing & UAT: Prepare and execute user acceptance testing scripts to assess system changes effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Finance teams in Paris and Frankfurt, and engage with various project workstreams.
  • Innovation: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the organisation.

What We Are Looking For:
You'll need to bring a blend of technical knowledge and practical experience, including:

  • Strong understanding of technical accounting and familiarity with IFRS reporting standards.
  • Experience in Finance transformation/change programmes within a Commercial or Investment Banking environment.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable deliverables.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, including SQL, MS Access, and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience in Commercial or Investment Banking, particularly with loan and securities systems like LoanIQ and Gloss.
  • A background in project management, with a track record of leading data-related projects.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with experience in financial modelling and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud and Oracle on-prem GL systems is advantageous.
