About the Role
My client are searching for a Senior Data Scientist to take the lead on their advanced motion tracking and pose analysis technology. Youll work closely with engineering and product leaders to enhance our tracking software that captures and interprets human motion, creating an unprecedented level of interactive feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- As theSenior Data Scientistyou will lead development and refinement of our real-time human pose estimation and motion tracking algorithms.
- Use libraries such as MediaPipe and MoveNet to extract and analyse human motion coordinates, ensuring accuracy and adaptability.
- Collaborate with product teams to understand and address user needs, refining algorithms to deliver high-precision metrics like form quality, rep count, and rep speed.
- Conduct advanced statistical analysis to reduce errors and enhance data reliability, especially in scenarios involving complex occlusions.
- Partner with QA and support teams to troubleshoot, test, and refine new features before release.
- Potential to lead a growing data science team as the company scales.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data science within fast-growing environments, ideally with a focus on real-time motion tracking or computer vision.
- Proficiency in implementing pose estimation and tracking with tools like MediaPipe, MoveNet, or similar.
- Experience in feature extraction from time-series data, specifically for motion capture or tracking.
- Solid foundation in linear algebra, geometry, and probability, as well as algorithmic problem-solving for live data.
- Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Background in fitness or biomechanics is a plus.
- Experience with coding languages such as Kotlin or Java.
