Benefits Advisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Benefits Advisor to join a dynamic team dedicated to providing crucial support to residents in need. This role is based across multiple hub locations, requiring travel between sites to ensure accessible and tailored support for the community.

As a Benefits Advisor, you will play a vital role in assisting vulnerable individuals by providing expert advice on Housing, Council Tax, Benefits, Financial Inclusion, Employment, and Skills. You will be the first point of contact for those accessing the hub, assessing their needs and connecting them with further support from hub partners or external agencies. Delivering effective triage, you will ensure residents receive the most appropriate guidance, helping them navigate complex systems and access the resources they require.

This role requires a proactive and compassionate individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage high volumes of customer interactions. You will be responsible for handling casework, maintaining accurate records, and working closely with volunteers to encourage digital self-service skills among residents. A broad knowledge of relevant legislation and a commitment to securing positive outcomes for the community are essential.
