Job description

Empowering earning are seeking a careers advisor / school support advisor at a school based in Croydon. Our client is seeking a experienced advisor or school liaison career office to support students at the college gain work placements in the local community. You must be able to drive and have a valid license in the UK.

Main purpose of the job

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated individual with the sales skills who wants to make a difference in students' life. You will join a dynamic international team and will be responsible for converting inquiries from students who are interested in working in the community. All students have EHCP plans to support there needs within school also in the community whilst working being supported by the college.

  • Ability to handle targets and work with the conversion team to reach & exceed goals
  • Understand students' needs and providing support whilst in a placement.
  • Understand fast and timely response t get them into work.
  • Attend Recruitment fair to gain interest in support students into work.
  • meet students face to face build a rapport and have an understanding of their individual needs
  • Discuss Student options at lead stage based on their suitability
  • Attend Education Events
  • Liaise with staff at the school including SLT ( Senior leadership)
  • Manage your student application portfolio through regular follow up.
  • Ability to self-motivate and self-manage your student portfolio through positive relationship management.
  • Understand the different admissions policies of our partners & universities (Training provided)
  • Understand of different cultures, and working with students / colleagues / partners of different backgrounds and Special educational needs
  • Be able to drive as you will have to commute throughout the day.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal, customer service and communications skills, and the confidence to liaise with Partner Universities, Regional Offices. You will ideally have an understanding of/ interest in students, education and may have some experience in consultative sales. You will be able work under your own initiative to manage your workload, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
