About Us:At Supreme Recruitment, we are recruiting on behalf of our client, DPD, one of the UK's leading parcel delivery companies. We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (C+E) for night shifts across various locations in London. This is a fantastic opportunity with the potential for a permanent position.
Role Overview:As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for making trunking deliveries between DPD depots and hubs, ensuring the timely and safe transport of goods. The role involves long-distance driving, and you will be expected to work primarily night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in accordance with UK road and transport regulations.
- Undertake trunking and depot-to-depot deliveries, ensuring goods arrive on time.
- Perform pre-shift vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Load and unload goods, following health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate tachograph records and comply with driver hours regulations.
- Efficiently plan routes to meet delivery schedules.
- Represent Supreme Recruitment and DPD professionally.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Full Driver CPC and a valid Digi-Tacho card.
- Minimum of 1 year Class 1 driving experience.
- Strong understanding of UK driving laws and tachograph regulations.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work night shifts.
- No more than 6 points on your licence; no DR or IN convictions.
