We now have a fantastic opportunity for an HGV Category C+E Driver to support our Service Centre operations, helping us to deliver our promise of quality plant and power accessed products, equipment and services on time, every time for our customers.

Every day brings something new - travelling to different locations, meeting customers, delivering and collecting a wide range of plant hire equipment - from excavators and telehandlers to generators and scissor lifts - to name just a few. You’ll also demonstrate how to operate the equipment, so we’ll ensure that you have the training and skills needed to carry this out in a professional and safe manner.

What can we offer you in return? You'll benefit from a working pattern of Monday-Friday 42.5 hours per week, with the potential for overtime by mutual agreement. Our vehicle fleet have sleeper cabs and there will be a regular requirement for overnight stays throughout the year.

Salary is paid up to £37.5k per annum with OT as below:

1.5 x Weekdays & Saturdays

2 x Sundays & Bank Holidays

23 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

What you will need to bring to the role:

- You will be a fully competent HGV driver with licence category C+E, preferably with a clean driving licence (no more than six points)

- Driver CPC and Digital Driver Card is essential

- Experience in the movement of Plant or Powered Access equipment with IPAF or ADR certification desirable. Our fleet operate a mix of flat and step frame trailers, a vehicle mounted forklift license is also desirable.

- It’s essential that you have good customer service and communication skills with the ability to build good relationships and represent Sunbelt Rentals in a positive manner

- A flexible and adaptable approach as you will be required to travel extensively around the country with, regularly staying away from home. You will be an effective team player

- You’ll be articulate and organised, with a good level of attention to detail and accuracy
