Class 2 HIAB Driver

Position Overview: A fantastic opportunity has for an experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver to join a leading builders merchant in Willesden. As theClass 2 HIAB Driver you will beinvolved inensuring the safe and timely delivery of building materials to customer sites, contributing to the smooth running of construction projects.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM 4:30 PM
  • Alternative Saturdays: 7:00 AM 1:00 PM

Key Responsibilities of the Class 2 HIAB Driver:

  • Safe and Timely Deliveries: Transport building materials to customer sites, ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Loading & Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading, ensuring all materials are secure and safely handled.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide excellent service to customers by delivering goods, collecting signatures, and assisting with invoicing and credit card payments.
  • Route Planning: Plan routes to ensure punctual deliveries and avoid delays.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the vehicle in top condition, ensuring it is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Accurate Record Keeping: Ensure all delivery records and paperwork are completed correctly.

Requirements:

  • Valid Category C License & HIAB Certification: Clean full UK driving license with the necessary HIAB certification (ALMI or equivalent).
  • Experience: Practical driving skills with a strong awareness of road safety.
  • DCPC & Digi Card: Current and valid.
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Capable of completing paperwork accurately and maintaining up-to-date delivery records.
  • 20 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and your birthday off.
