Job Overview:We are currently seeking HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers for trunking operations to join our dedicated team. If you’re an experienced, professional driver who enjoys long-distance driving with a focus on safety and efficiency, this is the opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Trunking goods between distribution centres and depots on dedicated routes.
- Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently, and within the specified time frames.
- Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts to ensure road worthiness.
- Adhering to all road safety regulations and company procedures.
- Managing delivery paperwork, including logbooks and delivery notes.
- Communicating effectively with the transport team for any updates or issues.
Requirements:
- Driving License: Must have a valid license with 7+ years of driving experience and be able to operate Luton-sized vehicles
- Valid HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Licence (C + E).
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Experience in trunking operations preferred but not essential.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and regulations.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
