Hotel Saint is seeking to hire a Chef de Partie to join our team in the City of London for our new restaurant, The Cardinal.

The Cardinal is a friendly, neighbourhood restaurant and bar located in Londons City Centre neighbourhood. We are intensely passionate about the revival of a proper gathering place. Destined to be a gathering place for neighborhood locals, tourists, foodies and revel rousers, The Cardinal will evoke a spirit of comfort and camaraderie. The service will be informal, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable.

This is a full-time position and is based on-site at the hotel.

As a Chef de Partie, you will work alongside the Executive Chef, Head Chef and Sous Chef to achieve highest standards of food production and customer service.

Your main duties include (but are not limited to):

  • To organise and set up the assigned section of the kitchen and prepare dishes as efficiently as possible to increase speed and maximise productivity.
  • To ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and according to standard recipes.
  • To always control the quality of the product you use and report any discrepancy to the Sous Chef or Head Chef to ensure consistent freshness and quality.
  • To constantly maximise the quality and presentation of dishes

About you
  • Proven experience in a similar capacity in hotels or similar establishments.
  • Unrelenting focus on quality.
  • Qualification in culinary arts, or similar is desired, but not essential.
  • A personal desire to be developed and to learn in your role.
  • Ability to support the successful operations of the kitchen.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence with all levels of the business.
