Hours: 35hrs+ (Flexible, including weekends and evenings)
As a Cook at Top Cuvée, you will play a key role in the kitchen team, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, execution, and consistency. You will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver a menu that reflects the restaurants ethos, using quality ingredients and seasonal produce to create outstanding dishes. Your role requires precision, creativity, and teamwork to maintain an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:Food Preparation & CookingPrepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Follow recipes, plating guides, and prep lists accurately, making adjustments only with approval from the Head Chef.
Maintain awareness of current food trends and presents creative ideas where appropriate.
Manage mise en place efficiently to ensure smooth service.
Work quickly and accurately to maintain a well-paced service.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with HACCP guidelines.
Monitor fridge and freezer temperatures daily, reporting any discrepancies.
Assist in ordering and stock control to minimize waste and control costs.
To assist with the creation of social media assets such as videos, photography, recipes, etc
Support and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring high kitchen standards are upheld.
Work collaboratively with the FOH team to ensure seamless service.
Communicate effectively with the Head Chef regarding kitchen operations, prep levels, and service demands.
Role of Kitchen Porter is shared with all members of the kitchen team and FOH where required/possible
Take on additional responsibilities as needed, including covering team absences.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
Take part in deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and workspaces as required.
Ensure all cleaning products and consumables are stocked and ordered when necessary.
Adhere to company and local authority food hygiene standards, working towards maintaining an EHO rating of 4 stars or higher.
Previous experience as a CDP or similar role in a professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene best practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
A proactive and positive attitude with a passion for food.
Team mentality with strong communication and leadership skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special events.
Food Safety Level 2 certification (or willingness to obtain).
COSHH training
You will take personal responsibility for ensuring that the kitchen is a safe working environment, following UK food safety laws and company policies. You will also help maintain records for food safety inspections and kitchen equipment checks.
