Duties and Responsibilities:

Service Provision:

  • Assist in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Learn and apply standard cooking techniques under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Support the execution of special events and seasonal menus.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Participate in inventory control to minimize food waste.

Risk Management:

  • Follow all kitchen safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling, sanitation, and storage regulations.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and report any malfunctions.

Training on Food Wastage:

  • Receive training on best practices for reducing food wastage.
  • Implement and maintain procedures to minimize waste.

Miscellaneous:

  • Commit to environmental or social sustainability within the culinary field.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends.
  • Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, ideally as a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a desire to develop advanced cooking skills.
