We are seeking an experienced and passionate Tandoori Chef to join our culinary team based in Central London. As a specialist in tandoor cooking, you will play a crucial role in preparing authentic, high-quality dishes that showcase traditional Indian flavors for this fast paced casual dining concept. Inspired by its bustling street markets and traditional recipes of India. We combine fresh, locally sourced ingredients with the bold spices and aromatic herbs that define Indian cuisine, every item is crafted to deliver a genuine taste of India.

Committed to sustainability and quality, this chef will have the skills to Prepare and cook a variety of tandoor dishes, including kebabs, naan bread, and marinated meats, ensuring exceptional taste and presentation.

Salary:

£29,000 - £31,000 per annum

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and cook traditional Tandoori dishes meats, seafood & Vegetables in a Tandoor Oven
  • Operate and maintain the tandoor oven to ensure its in good working condition
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene following traditional Indian reciepes and techniques
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and managment to ensure smooth opertaion and timely preparartion of dishes
  • Manage kitchen inventory and stock control

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef
  • Knowledge of india cuisine and cooking techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes
  • Excellent time managment and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of Tandoori cooking methods and Indian Cuisine
  • Food preparation and food safety
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Health and Safety certification
  • Food Hygiene certification

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a busy kitchen environment with evening and weekend shifts.
