Catering for an independent prep school, the kitchen provides fresh, nutritional food for approx. 350 pupils and 60 staff on a daily basis as well as ad hoc hospitality. As the school has summer lets and summer clubs, this is a full time contract (not term time only)
As the Chef Manager, you will be
* leading and managing a team of 7
* cooking and preparing dishes from scratch using seasonal ingredients
* creating exciting and nutritious menus for day to day as well as theme days
* building and maintaining a strong working relationship with the client
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks (full time contract)
Our ideal candidate would be
* a strong Chef Manager with a proven work history
* ideally experienced in catering for independent schools or B&I catering
* a real foodie with a genuine passion for ingredients and produce
* able to lead and manage a team with good man management skills
* attentive to detail and presentation
* strong in communication skills
* flexible and positive with a can do attitude
