Donostia has received critical acclaim since its opening in 2012. We serve Basque inspired tapas and pintxo dishes prepared by a highly professional team of chefs, using the best quality, seasonal ingredients.

Donostia is located in Marylebone, operating 7 days a week. Much of the clientele is local with a large number of loyal regulars.

About the Role

This is an incredibly exciting and rewarding opportunity for a chef who come from a food focused background, and have a friendly, positive attitude. The kitchen is well organized and delivers the best dishes to our guests. We work in an open kitchen.

You must be a passionate and talented individual who can remain calm and in control under pressure, with the ability to work in a small team and in an open kitchen.

Main Responsibilities

Successfully prepare and set up for service in your section

Work as part of a team to ensure a smooth service

Be inspired and contribute to ideas for dishes

Monitor standards of hygiene to ensure the highest standards are maintained

Manage wastage of food products to control the cost of food sales

The Ideal Candidate

Quality driven

Have excellent culinary skills with an attention to detail

Have sound knowledge of hygiene, health and safety requirements

Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure

A team player with experience of supervising a team within a similar environment

This role is full time and permanent.
