As a Chef Commis, you will play an integral role in supporting our culinary team and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen

Responsibilities as a Commis Chef

  • Prepare all mise-en-place and dishes with the kitchen team
  • Ensure compliance with inhouse HACCP and food hygiene, health, and safety systems to ensure compliance
  • Ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are properly stocked and stored
  • Assisting with the plating and presentation of dishes
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality meals to our customers
  • Ensure compliance with inhouse HACCP and food hygiene, health, and safety systems to ensure compliance
  • Completing duties with an attitude of always striving to exceed standards

Requirements and skills for a Commis Chef

  • CDP experience in a similar style restaurant
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment
  • A passion for food and a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take directions from senior chefs
  • Knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques a bonus
  • Disciplined and keen to learn
  • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Be enthusiastic about your career, collaborator & trustworthy
