We are looking for a passionate Commis Chefto join the team at Jean Georges at The Connaught.This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented chef who is ready on to take a new challenge within the outstanding brigade and to develop your career within the award-winning5-Star deluxe Connaught Hotel.
Internationally renowned Michelin-starred French Chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten's eclectic, imaginative menus are inspired both by his experiences of the Far East and his signature use of South-east Asian flavours. As Chef Patron, his distinctive take on British and Connaught classics are reflected in The Connaught menus and are influenced by his earlier working life and love of London. Sourcing the best of British ingredients, the menus also reflect the farm-to-table, fresh-from-the-market approach long pioneered by Jean-Georges.
Responsibilities:
AsCommis Chefyou will be working with the freshest seasonal produce and ingredients, assisting the kitchen brigade in the daily preparation and service of outstanding food and menus. You will ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times and to ensure that your designated section, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the team.
Skills and experience:
The ideal candidate will be a great team player with excellent communications skills and the ability to take instructions, and have anabsolute passion and commitment to learn using exceptional quality ingredients to ensure the highest standards are achieved on a daily basis.Previous experience gained within a similar role would be beneficial for this role.
