The Restaurant:

A GREAT new restaurant, high end casual dining, slightly branded but you can add your flair to the business, working with an exceptional Exec Chef and Managing Director., who has developed six great restaurants in London

We are looking for a candidate who oozes personality – ideally you will come from a premium casual background with a mixture of excellent pedigree in terms of policy and procedure but have the flair of an independent restaurateur - offering entrepreneurial characteristics. Guest experience will be the heart of what you do – you will lead by example and really deliver in terms of service. You will have the ability to collaborate with the Chef Brigade in an open plan kitchen setting and comfortably challenge the norm to ensure excellent dishes are delivered. It is essential that you thrive in a small team environment and be an excellent communicator.

The Person:

  • You must have the ability to energize your team with creativity measures to align them with their individual KPIS and the department's KPIS
  • Must have at least 3 years' experience in a General Manager position
  • Acute financial management skills, strong business acumen and excellent knowledge of latest sales and marketing trends
  • Excellent communications skills and an interest in Japanese cuisine
  • Experience in BOTH a quality led branded restaurant, ideally with premium independent restaurant experience
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software
  • Strong leadership, motivational and great people skills
