Head Chef – New Opening – French / Mediterranean Restaurant

Salary: Negotiable

Location: London

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated Head Chef experienced in French and/or Mediterranean inspired cuisine for a stunning destination new opening concept in Hoxton, London.

This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef who has been either in charge or a number two in such a restaurant and would like to take on a challenge.

Responsibilities

  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
  • Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
  • Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
  • Maintain records of payroll and attendance
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Head Chef in a French / Mediterranean Restaurant
  • Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
  • Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
  • Up to date with culinary trends and optimised kitchen processes
  • Credentials in health and safety training
