Great opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Head Chef to join our clients' team based at this residential care home based in SW London.
As part of an independent charity which has been serving the Jewish community for over 175 years, this home accommodates 110 residents. Meals can be served to their individual accommodation or they can enjoy dining with family and friends at the on-site coffee shop. There is also a staff dining area catering for the on-site staff.
As the Head Chef, you will be
* Fully responsible for the running of the kitchens
* Managing and developing your team
* Responsible for innovative menu planning and design of food service
* Accountable for all aspects of COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customers and colleagues
* Managing orders, stock take and costings
* Liaising with residents and families to ensure a high level of food and customer service
Working hours are 5/7, 40 hours per week.
You, as the ideal candidate, will be
* At Head Chef level with minimum of 3 year of experience
* Able to manage a team as well as work as part of
* Genuinely passionate about good food and service
* Financially astute and able to work to budget
* A strong leader
* Knowledgeable about kosher food or willing to learn
* Highly confident and positive
* Self-motivated and able to work well unsupervised
* Logically minded - able to problem solve in a calm and rational manner
