As Head Chef, you will be at the heart of our kitchen operations, overseeing food production for events and tastings, managing a talented team, and ensuring that Chop & Chip Co standards remain exceptional. Chop & Chip Co are undergoing a period of expansion and growth so this is a project as much as a job. An exciting opportunity to develop and create delicious food in a new production kitchen environment.

Based predominantly in our production kitchen but also required to attend prestigious events around London when required.

Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Oversee and lead the events kitchen brigade, ensuring food production is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Plan, prepare, and execute food operations for events, ensuring smooth logistics and timely delivery of dishes.
  • Team Management: Inspire and motivate your team through strong leadership, providing feedback, training, and development opportunities.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to hygiene, health, and safety standards, maintaining an FSA 5-Star rating.
  • Financial Management: Achieve financial targets, including food costs and labour budgets, while maintaining quality and consistency.

  • A seasoned chef with expertise in Mediterranean cuisine and a passion for food.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing kitchen teams and driving performance.
  • Excellent organisational and operational skills, with the ability to oversee multiple events and teams.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene.

About Us

Chop and Chip Co is an established events and banqueting operation based across prestigious venues in London and surrounding areas. We have a main office and production kitchen in south east London and two further offices in Southampton and Cheltenham.

Chop & Chip Co provides catering services for Corporate and high net worth clients including company events, weddings and parties.

While still maintaining a street food menu Chop & Chip Co are also involved in sharing boards, bowl food, canapes, plated and family style services

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £42,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
