- Job Title: Group Head Pastry Chef (overseeing 3 restaurants)
- Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
- Location: City of London, UK
- Reports to: Culinary Director and Corporate Chef
The Role:
We are seeking an exceptional Group Head Pastry Chef to lead the pastry operations for a renowned restaurant group in London. In this role, you will oversee multiple high-end establishments, ensuring the consistent quality and excellence of all pastry products. You will be responsible for creating innovative culinary offerings, upholding the highest standards, and leading a talented pastry team across all 3 restaurant locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate pastry production status regularly with Executive Chefs
- Execute and maintain all recipes and menu items
- Develop and implement seasonal menu changes in collaboration with Executive Chefs
- Train and educate front of house staff
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards
- Implement solutions to improve operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience
- Provide outstanding service during special events and daytoday operations
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
- Conduct regular inventory and ensure proper stock levels
- Minimize waste and manage food and labor costs efficiently
- Lead, train, and guide the pastry team
- Address guest complaints and ensure satisfaction
- Assist with menu development and pricing as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of Pastry experience
- Able to work long and flexible hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team
- High standard of personal hygiene and professionalism
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
