We are looking for a special person to join our team working in a high-profile chef / kitchen administrator role. This is an exciting opportunity for an established chef to run a medium size operation in a prestigious blue-chip contract including a cafe /deli bar, a busy coffee/grab & go area, and meeting room hospitality.
This role will involve production of innovative salads/finger foods etc for all areas of the operation as well as management of the kitchen administrative duties.
The ideal candidate will ideally have:
- Very strong financial and operational ability
- Experience in the contract catering industry at Senior Sous Chef level.
- The ability to train and motivate a team to maximise performance and efficiencies.
- Hospitality/event catering experience.
- A personality that can span differing levels of staff, client and customers; & maximise excellent working relationships.
- A good understanding of people management skills within todays employment legislation.
- Very good knowledge and implementation of food safety and health and safety legislation
Key skills required are:
- Excellent craft skills along with knowledge of current food trends.
- A true passion for great food and service.
- A professional, self-motivated individual.
- Excellent communication skills written and oral.
- Ability to drive teams.
- A very keen eye for detail.
- The ability to work on own initiative and be highly responsive to unit and client requirements.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office word, excel, outlook).
- Flexible working hours to meet needs of the job.
- A proven track record in driving sales through marketing & promotional activity.
- Innovative thinker and brilliant at identifying opportunities.
This role requires someone highly flexible and must have the ability to drive teamwork.
