Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will be a culinary professional with a passion for creating high-quality baked goods and the ability to work with other chefs, porters, and kitchen assistants. If you have a background in pastry or confectionary, a keen understanding of kitchen work, and the desire to contribute to the success of our cheesecake factory, we invite you to apply.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef or in a similar role within a bakery or related food service establishment.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and ingredient handling.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a food service setting. It is preferred if you have a Food Hygiene level 2 Certificate, but not mandatory.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to finish high volumes of orders and finish tasks independently if needed.
Responsibilities:
Main Duties
Deliver consistently high-quality cheesecakes which will be sold by our shops.
Collaborate with kitchen kitchen and front of house teams to fulfill orders.
Maintain keen awareness of stock and ingredient levels as well as the ability to communicate your needs to Kitchen Porters and Assistants.
Delegate professionally with kitchen team to assure daily targets are met.
Ensure that you and other chefs understand all required food cost controls, by being correctly and constantly trained on all standards supporting this key area.
Attend weekly meetings with the shop manager & production manager about changing/evolving kitchen operations.
Ensure that all areas under your control satisfy the most stringent hygiene requirements.
