We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef that is passionate about Pastry, is hard working, and creative. This incredible 1* Star Michelin restaurant focuses on sustainability, amazing British produce, and creativity in it's presentation. We are looking for someone looking for the next step in their career, and is ready to take on the challenge of leading this department & mentoring junior staff.

Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of chocolate tempering, molding, and crafting chocolate decorations, with a demonstrated ability to create innovative chocolate desserts.
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or similar role in a Michelin-starred or high-end restaurant environment, with a strong emphasis on British pastry techniques.
  • Proficiency in various pastry techniques, including dough preparation, pastry creams, custards, and cakes, with a focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train junior pastry staff, fostering a collaborative and creative kitchen environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and presentation skills, ensuring that all pastries and desserts meet high standards of quality and aesthetics.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen, maintaining composure while executing multiple dessert orders efficiently and to a high standard.
