We are looking for a talented R&D Chef to join an exciting startup focused on redefining the grab-and-go food market. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to developing meals designed to support mental wellbeing by nourishing gut and brain health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test innovative, plant-based recipes that focus on brain, gut, and immunity health.
  • Collaborate with a nutritionist to ensure recipes align with functional nutritional guidelines.
  • Optimise recipes for scalability, production efficiency, and shelf life.
  • Stay informed on trends in plant-based and functional food innovation.
  • Lead product validation in pop-ups and prepare for the first store launch.
  • Train kitchen staff and maintain food safety and quality standards.
  • Respond to customer feedback and refine recipes accordingly.

What They Are Looking For

  • Proven experience as a chef, with expertise in plant-based cuisine and food-to-go concepts.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the food industry, with a focus on recipe development.
  • Knowledge of functional foods and dietary requirements (e.g., vegan, free from alliums).
  • Creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail to deliver high-quality recipes.
