Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. The Senior Chef de Partie plays a key role in maintaining kitchen standards, supervising junior chefs, and contributing to menu creation. This position requires strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauce, pastry) while ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard, maintaining consistency in taste, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff (Commis Chefs, Demi Chefs), providing guidance and training to ensure they meet kitchen standards.
- Ensure food quality by checking ingredients, monitoring cooking processes, and ensuring that food is prepared according to recipes and kitchen standards.
- Monitor inventory levels in your section, ensuring ingredients are stocked, stored properly, and used efficiently to minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
- Coordinate with other sections of the kitchen to ensure timely service and seamless collaboration during peak times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen.
- Strong culinary skills and extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques across various sections of the kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes.
- Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and safety standards (Food Handler Certification preferred).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
