Job title: Senior Sous Chef
Location: Covent Garden, London
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 (including tronc)
Working hours: 48 hours per week, 5 days per week, mixed shifts
Start date: Immediate start
I'm currently looking to recruit a Senior Sous Chef on behalf of my client, a prestigious restaurant group located in Covent Garden, known for its exceptional international cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Leading and training the kitchen team to ensure consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
- Assisting with menu development, ensuring dishes are innovative and aligned with seasonal ingredients
- Overseeing stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste
- Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Coordinating with front-of-house to deliver efficient service during peak hours
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef role in high-volume, upscale restaurants
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a busy kitchen and deliver under pressure
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and stock management
- Passion for delivering top-quality food and inspiring a team
