Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The Senior Sous Chef plays a critical role in overseeing kitchen operations, assisting the Executive Chef, and ensuring the quality and consistency of all dishes. This position requires strong leadership, culinary expertise, and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, creative in menu development, and committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef, managing staff and delegating tasks to ensure timely and high-quality dish preparation.
  • Monitor and maintain food quality by checking ingredients, overseeing cooking techniques, and ensuring presentation standards are met.
  • Supervise food preparation and cooking, ensuring dishes are prepared according to restaurant standards and guest specifications.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure peak performance and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ensure that the kitchen adheres to all food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and dining operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant or fine dining establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
