A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join the Private Dining & Events Kitchen at one of Londons most prestigious five-star hotels. This is an exciting chance to be part of a high-performing team, delivering exceptional dining experiences for exclusive events and private functions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef and Senior Sous Chef in managing all food production for private dining and events within the hotel.
  • Oversee the preparation of regular menu items, bespoke event dishes, and daily specialities.
  • Maintain strict quality control on all food deliveries, working closely with the purchasing team to ensure premium ingredients.
  • Supervise and support the brigade, fostering a motivating and professional work environment.
  • Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with hotel policies.
  • Manage administrative duties, including staff scheduling, attendance records, and overtime authorisations.
  • Uphold and contribute to maintaining an outstanding level of service in line with the hotels Luxury Quality Assurance (LQA) standards.

About You
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef within a luxury hotel, fine dining, or high-end events environment.
  • A passion for private dining and large-scale event catering.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a talented team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a dedication to culinary excellence.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen while maintaining composure and efficiency.
  • A team player with strong communication skills and a hands-on approach.
