Job Description:

We arelooking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to ensure the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  2. Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  3. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
  4. Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and daily specials.
  5. Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency.
  6. Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff.
  7. Manage kitchen equipment maintenance and report any issues promptly.
  8. Ensure efficient coordination and communication between kitchen and front-of-house staff.
  9. Support in managing food cost, minimizing waste, and maximizing profitability.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
  2. Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
  3. Strong leadership skills and ability to work well in a team.
  4. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  5. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Passion for culinary arts and creativity in food preparation.
