We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join the team of a popular restaurant in Chelsea. The venue is set across two floors and serves a variedmenu using the finest British ingredients centred around an open grill. The La Carte menu offers a selection of lighter dishes: seasonal salads and seafood dishes, followed by a robust choice of classic grill dishes and famous Saturday and Sunday roasts.

As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to lead a dedicated brigade, ensuring that every dish leaving the kitchen upholds high standards of quality, presentation, and taste. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional looking to grow their career in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including planning, preparation, and service.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food consistently.
  • Assist in menu development, incorporating seasonal produce and fresh, local ingredients.
  • Ensure the highest levels of hygiene and food safety are maintained in line with restaurant standards and regulations.
  • Oversee stock control and inventory management, minimising waste and ensuring efficiency.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and positive kitchen culture.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie role in a high-end brasserie or fine dining restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of modern British cuisine with a passion for using seasonal ingredients.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire a team.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A creative approach to cooking and a desire to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene regulations.
