Sous Chef
Independent All-Day Café/Restaurant, Daytime Only
We are looking for an even-tempered, customer-focused Sous Chef with strong café/brunch experience, including plant-based dishes, for astylish independent 60-cover all day café/restaurant. The trade is daytime only, very Brunch based, all fresh, seasonal produce, made in-house, good coffee, tray bakes and pastries. The kitchen is small but well organised and gets very busy at peak times; excellent cook to order experience and a tidy work ethic are essential.
Our ideal candidate is a reliable and enthusiastic chef, happy to work closely with the owner and run the kitchen when left in charge. A chef who loves cooking, is prepared to muck in where needed, and shares the owners passion for responsible food provenance, zero waste and making the most of the seasons.
This is a small team in a happy and efficient kitchen.
48-hour week over 5 days.
Open all week 9.30-6.00 + some evening events & private hire
Salary: Up to £37,000 relevant to experience + service charge
