Lead Process Engineer (Client role) - Staff - London

Location: London

This is an excellent opportunity to join a Client organization operating in the cleantech, renewable and alternative energy sector, developing novel green energy and fuel solutions on a global scale with excellent career opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and co-ordinating deliverables of FEED contractor.
  • Ensuring design specifications of the main contractor and as per agreed company specifications and ensuring any amendments are incorporated in line with company / project requirements.
  • Manage and lead Client’s own team of Process Engineers.
  • Undertake work on client site as required, providing technical advice and operational support services.
  • Support the develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects.
  • Checking the quality of FEED contractor/s design work to ensure compliance with agreed client design specifications.
  • Supporting the vendor management and selection process.
  • Perform safety related calculations and provide input to safety reviews – What If, Hazop SIL Assessment, etc.
  • Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of project.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Must be Degree qualified.
  • Chartered status highly advantageous though not essential.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas projects during either conceptual engineering, FEED or detailed design.
  • Experience working in a Client organsiation / role is essential.
  • Experience in other major energy such as Energy from Waste or similar will also be highly advantageous.
  • Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
  • Planning and organising, communication, team working and problem solving.
  • Good level of numeracy, literacy and IT knowledge.
