Main Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for service and maintenance of commercial heating systems and building services, reactive maintenance.
To proactively identify and undertake heating/combustion maintenance works (reactive works not yet identified by the client), To undertake heating/combustion PPM work, within set time frames to ensure statutory compliance
To undertake heating/combustion improvement work as required
Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault-finding
To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of all plant room equipment
To undertake necessary repairs/replacement of defective pumps/valves/radiators/PUs. Including draining down and refilling heating systems
Power flushing heating systems
Maintain stock control system as directed
To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents/records/gas certificates are completed and sent to the office as required
Be part of a OOH call out rota, attend emergency mechanical repair work
Escalate issues to Supervisor and Contract Manager immediately

Person Specification

Experience

3-5 Years of industry experience
Experience of working within the Social Housing sector on gas/renewable maintenance contracts.
Have domestic ACS qualifications, CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1,CENWAT Have Commercial ACS qualifications, COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, TPCP1A
Unvented Hot Water
Water Regs
Have asbestos awareness
Have knowledge of the Risk Assessment process
A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be required.

Excellent written communication and verbal skills
Computer-literate
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Able to prioritise workload and use initiative at all times
General competence in the given trade, COCN1 or CODNCO1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or TPCPA1, NVQ 2 or equivalent.
Unvented hot water systems would be advantageous.
