Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer

Our client, a specialist in HVAC, Fire & Smoke, and Mechanical Services, is looking for a skilled and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer with electrical knowledge to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities
Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs for HVAC and gas systems.
Work both independently and collaboratively to ensure optimal performance.
Safely isolate equipment and perform repairs on pipework, valves, and electrical controls.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams for fault-finding and repairs.
Complete risk assessments, method statements, and job cards accurately.
Understand performance requirements of critical services plant and KPIs.
Monitor plant data and escalate any performance issues as required.
Assist with cost control for projects, ensuring efficiency and budget adherence.
Essential Qualifications
COCN1, CPA1, TPCP1, CCP1, CCN1, CEN1, CKR1, and HDR1.
Minimum of 6 years' experience working on commercial heating systems (ideally).
Hours of Work and Overtime
Standard working hours: 50 per week, including 40 hours on-site (starting no later than 8:00 AM) and one hour each way of daily commute.
A minimum 30-minute uninterrupted lunch break is required.
Additional hours, including weekends, may be required as needed. Any additional compensation will be agreed upon beforehand.
Overtime Rates:
Nights: 0.5x hourly rate + salary
Weekday Travel Overtime: 1.0x hourly rate
Weekday Work Overtime: 1.5x hourly rate
Saturday: 1.5x hourly rate for 8 hours
Sunday & Bank Holidays: 2.0x hourly rate for 8 hours
Holidays and Benefits
33 days paid holiday per year, including statutory and public holidays (minus 3 mandatory days for Christmas closure).
Enrollment in the company pension scheme (NEST) after the probationary period.
Monthly allowance of up to 15.00 for vehicle cleaning, subject to submission of relevant documentation.
