Senior Design Manager

Job Title: Senior Design Manager
Location: West London
Rate: 600 to 700 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 12 Months

We are looking for a Senior Design Manager for a 12 month contract position in West London. The Senior Design Manager will quickly become an integral part of the site based team and tasked with the management and development of 6 Design Managers constructing 5 seperate buildings in West London as part of a much larger project.

The Senior Design Manager will be leading the Stage 5 Design and responsible for leading and co-ordinating all design related activities. Some of the Senior Design Managers main duties will include:

• Working closely with the Design Managers and Design Assurance Coordinators throughout the Stage 5 design development process.
• Manage all design activities related to the construction and fit out of 5 projects including blockwork, fire-proofing, steelwork, doors, drainage, building services and more.
• Liaise with the design consultant, MEP teams, Engineering teams, Quality Assurance teams, Planners, Commercial teams and others
• Manage the stage 5 design process and report to the project lead, senior management and client as required

Senior Design Managers applying for this position will need:

• Previous managerial experience
• Experience in change control design management
• Strong reporting experience
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• NEC Contract knowledge
• Previous experience working in the fit out sector is crucial
• Experience in Stage 5 design and managing and coordinating specialist contractors will be an advantage.

This is a 12 month contract opportunity with a tier one main contractor. You'll be required on site 4 days a week and the rate is 600 to 700 per day (inside IR35).
