Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Analytical Chemist with good supervisory skills to join their analytical team. In this role, the Senior Analytical Chemist will collaborate with a Project Manager to oversee the project lifecycle, from initial inquiry to final report.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of a 2:1 degree in Chemistry from a UK university, with a significant focus on Analytical Chemistry.
  • 5-6 years of laboratory experience using techniques such as ICP-OES/MS, AA, XRF, and practical experience in wet and classical chemistry.
  • Previous experience working in an accredited laboratory and managing laboratory technicians.
  • Demonstrated ability to work methodically with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues across different departments, as well as external collaborators and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and present project plans.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Produce detailed reports and manage laboratory staff.
