An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Associate Director in Building Physics to join a leading built environment consultancy. This role provides the chance to take a leadership position within a dynamic and diverse team, delivering high quality building physics consultancy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing thermal comfort and overheating strategies for complex urban developments, ensuring the wellbeing of pedestrians and occupants in major projects.

The role is ideal for a seasoned consultant looking to elevate their career by managing projects, engaging directly with clients, and mentoring a growing team of specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and deliver thermal comfort and overheating assessments, particularly using Dynamic Thermal Modelling.
  • Collaborate with Design Analysts to generate accurate 3D models and data analysis.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, promoting expertise in wind and building physics.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support the growth strategy of the consultancy.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, supporting their technical and professional development.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory standards, research, and advancements in environmental design.
