I am partnered exclusively with a Global Bank in London that are growing their executive team in London and recrutiing a Head of IT to report into the CEO.

The Head of IT will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of�IT needs across the business. The smooth running of the IT department is therefore crucial to the success of the business.

Key requirements of the role are:

  1. Hands on IT management experience
  2. Some project experience preferably within Banking sector
  3. A lot of grassroot work will be required at the outset
  4. Cyber resilience exposure
  5. Business contingency and continuity planning
  6. Understanding of the payments space
  7. Data management

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Be a central point for heads of departments and partners to come to when they need something more from IT, be able to quantify the issue, prioritise and manage their expectations
  • Review / Liaise with the 3rd party IT team regarding outstanding tickets and projects
  • Manage and assist the help desk team and oversee all IT training needs of the business.
  • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time using a helpdesk management ticketing software
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with users and other professionals
  • Oversee and proactively evaluate new technology for the firm
  • Lead the strategic development and operational management of the information and communications technologies.
  • Identify and implement effective digital tools and applications.
  • Define the principles and standards for technical processes.
  • Determine business requirements and translate these into road maps.
  • Align the IT infrastructure needs with current and future tech needs.
  • Develop strategies for IT systems governance, reports and processes
  • Proven experience in problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • A proven record of stakeholder management
  • The skills to work autonomously and independently
  • Previous experience managing projects
  • Directly manage the team in providing front line systems, hardware, and software support to all staff.
  • IT Vendor Management experience
