We are thrilled to be partnering with an award-winning surgical association to recruit their new CEO.

We are partnering with the professional membership body representing Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery, Head, Neck and Thyroid Surgery, in the United Kingdom.

The organisation supports members at every stage of their careers, from student-level right through to retirement - a total of more than 2,500 medical practitioners. They promote the understanding of ENT in the media and provides the specialty with a voice. The organisation is a source of valuable medical information for patients as well as practitioners, and supports research, provides continuing education for specialists, and champions high standards in training.

As CEO you will report directly to the Board and be responsible for the strategic leadership and general management of the organisation. It's an exciting time to join to support delivery of their five-year strategy, progress the new trading arm and demonstrate the impact of the foundation.

At Charity People, we match charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for the charities we work with.

Within this varied role you will also be responsible for:

Strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the organisation meet their strategic aims. Ensuring the association is financially sound for the short, medium and long term with the support of clear, communicated financial policies and robust processes and overseeing the work of the Finance Controller. Trustee and Committee engagement. Governance, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Budget Management. Initiating discussions on policy. External stakeholder and contract management. The successful candidate will have previous experience either leading a similar organisation, or a COO/Director within Membership, who is keen to extend their remit to a broader leadership role.

Previous leadership experience within a Charity or Membership is essential. Experience within the Health sector is desirable but not essential.

So, if you are a proactive and energetic leader with a passion to drive positive change in Healthcare we would love to hear from you.

This role is hybrid, with two days in the Holborn office and three days at home.
