Every Future Foundation is a lived-experience led youth charity committed to eradicating institutional racism across the UK. Our focus is ondelivering transformative anti-racism programmes in schools for young people and intensive anti-racism training for educators.Through our Activism Academy Programme,we mentor and train young anti-racist leaders, empowering them to challenge systemic racism on a local and national level and become the next generation of changemakers that our collective future needs!

The organisation launched in 2021 in the form of community anti-racism Saturday breakfast clubs, which were rolled out for young people aged 11-14 across South London.

Since then, we have grown our reach and impact quite rapidly and now our main focuses are:

? Our school-based interventions - both for pupils and teachers

? Our Activism Academy - an out of school leadership programme for young people wanting to tackle racial injustice.

? Pursuing national changes within the education sector - working with groups/schools/partners across the UK to ask central government for national changes to the curriculum.

Since its launch, the organisation has been led by our Founder and Director. We are now seeking a dynamic, passionate individual to lead the organisation's growth from a tiny organisation to a medium-sized organisation - both in terms of impact and annual income. Your role will be pivotal in steering our organisation's growth, enhancing our reach, and deepening our impact in the fight against racism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating to solidify our 3-year strategic plan, identifying any new potential expansion areas, and balancing our service delivery vs systemic change goals
  • Leading the strategic growth of the organisation over the next 3 years
  • Working towards financial sustainability for the organisation and its projects
  • Creating and managing budgets, as well as management of risks
  • Representing Every Future Foundation publicly
  • Seen as an authority in the anti-racism space and a thought leader
  • Leading policy and advocacy efforts, working closely with partners, and government to drive racial equity in education
  • Responsible for ensuring the facilitators are effective, and deciding when we need to hire
  • Line management of a team of 4
  • Securing new collaborations to increase our reach and impact (this could include Universities, other non-profits, and Initial Teacher Training providers)
  • Growing our relationships with local councils in London and key Multi-Academy Trusts throughout England
  • Proven ability to champion a cause (both in person and in writing) to solicit donations (from individuals, corporations, trusts), recruit patrons/ambassadors, inspire volunteers, and foster and strengthen partnerships/ alliances (with academic, and other service providers/ campaigners)
  • Securing partnerships with national organisations to support the scaling of our programmes
  • Growing our relationships and networks of schools/local authorities/youth organisations to increase our work outside of London - identifying target areas to focus
  • Working with our Executive Assistant to ensure the successful delivery of our annual projects and making sure we are hitting the targets of each project.
  • Writing and preparing post-project reports for funders, stakeholders and partners
  • Collaborating with the team to design and implement scalable versions of our programmes - striving towards financial sustainability and increased impact
  • With direct Line Management from the Chair of Trustees
  • Keeping the Board informed about EFF’s progress, relevant matters, and the charity's mission
  • Providing timely and relevant information to aid the Board in fulfilling its duties
  • Alert the Board to any significant risks facing the charity
  • Uphold and implement EFF’ss policies, procedures, and systems- updating where required
  • Striving for operational excellence through established guidelines and continuously improving processes.
  • Continuously monitoring and staying updated on current social, economic, political, environmental, and other relevant issues that may impact EFF and our beneficiaries
  • Using this knowledge to identify strategic development opportunities for EFF and proactively adapting to change.
