General Manager / Director of Business Operations (Maternity Cover)

The Role:
As the General Manager / Director of Business Operations, you will be the backbone of the business, ensuring that all operational, financial, and compliance processes run smoothly. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll oversee service delivery, team leadership, financial management, and ISO compliance while maintaining excellent client relationships.

What you’ll do:
- Operational Leadership - Oversee the day-to-day functioning of contracts, teams, and services to meet strict SLAs & KPIs.
- Process & Compliance Management - Maintain high standards in ISO compliance, security vetting, and quality control.
- Financial Oversight - Manage budgets, forecasting, procurement, and revenue reporting to ensure financial health.
- Client & Stakeholder Management - Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring top-tier service delivery.
- Service & Team Management - Lead team leaders, operations staff, and project managers, ensuring efficiency and high morale.
- Tender & Bidding Support - Assist in contract bids, pricing, and mobilising new projects.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong operational leadership experience in a service-based, contract-driven business.
- Proven experience in business operations, compliance, and financial oversight.
- Skilled in process improvement, KPI monitoring, and resource planning.
- Comfortable working with ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO45001, ISO14001).
- Strong communicator, able to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- A natural problem-solver and leader, able to make high-level decisions while staying hands-on.
Security Clearance: Candidates will need to undergo standard BPSS/Security Vetting.
