We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Managing Directorwho has experience in delivering ambitious growth and performance targets within expected deadlines, with exceptional project management skills, a strong entrepreneurial mindset and an in-depth understanding of the legal, regulatory and compliance frameworks.

Are you commercially minded and entrepreneurial Managing Director that can lead the firm through its next phase of growth. If you are, this role could be for you. This pivotal role requires an agile, results-oriented leader who can deliver outstanding performance in short timelines while driving innovation, efficiency, and profitability in the company’s mission to improve access to justice and support for claimants.

Working as the Managing Director you will bring a proven ability to execute ambitious plans, launch new business lines, and build high-performing teams across multiple office locations. In addition, the ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, including the ability to act as Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP), ensuring that clients receive the quality legal representation that they deserve.

As the Managing Director you must also be comfortable with thinking differently and utilising technology to enhance efficiency and claimant outcomes. You must be able to work within an entrepreneurial but supportive culture, able to work with autonomy while supporting, educating and developing your colleagues. The company are direct and operate a flat structure, working hard but not at the expense of all else, with a focus on team excellence rather than personal agendas and ego.

As a successful candidate you will join an ambitious, forward-thinking firm that leverages technology to ethically and efficiently offer Finance, Adjudication, Insurance and Representation services to UK consumer claimants.

DUTIES

Strategic Leadership

  • Drive the execution of the firm’s ambitious growth strategy
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new revenue streams, service lines, and market opportunities
  • Maintain an agile, entrepreneurial approach to adapting strategy in response to market trends, client demands, and regulatory changes

Operational Excellence & Project Management

  • Oversee the firm’s operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and profitability
  • Implement robust systems, processes, and technologies to deliver measurable improvements in operational performance
  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance
  • Plan and manage multiple projects from conception to execution

Business Development & Innovation

  • Lead the development and launch of innovative business lines, ensuring rapid market entry and profitability
  • Champion the firm’s use of technology to improve claimant service, streamline operations, and enhance outcomes

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure the firm meets all regulatory and legal obligations, including compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations
  • Design and supervise standards of legal practice in coordination with Practice Heads and other legal professionals
  • Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures to mitigate risk and maintain compliance

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead high-performing teams across multiple office locations
  • Promote a culture of ethics, excellence, continuous improvement and innovation
  • Drive recruitment, training, and retention strategies to attract and retain top-tier talent

Client & Claimant Focus

  • Develop strategies to enhance claimant satisfaction and retention

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in delivering ambitious growth and performance targets within expected deadlines
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset, with ability to conceptualise, evaluate, and resource new initiatives
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • In-depth understanding of the legal, regulatory and compliance frameworks, with ability to act as the firm’s COLP
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Comfort with leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency
  • Familiarity with legal technology and its role
