We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Senior Executive Support Officer to join our Executive Support team. This is a critical role responsible for providing responsive, high-quality, and professional executive support to the Chief Executive/Corporate Directors, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of statutory and senior management team meetings, and supporting the Chief Executive's transformations change agenda.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where your ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with key stakeholders will be essential to success. You will be expected to lead change, improve operational processes, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the directorate's service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-level executive support to the Chief Executive and Corporate Directors, including managing diaries, handling correspondence, and organising senior management meetings.
- Take minutes and manage governance for Statutory Officer and Directorate Leadership Team meetings.
- Facilitate engagement between stakeholders such as the Mayor, Lead Members, Councillors, and external partners.
- Prepare and review briefing notes, responses to petitions, and questions to ensure accuracy and compliance with governance processes.
- Oversee and improve systems, processes, and workflows to enhance team efficiency and meet service standards.
- Manage and prioritise workloads, ensuring deadlines and client needs are met.
- Support senior leaders in coordinating political action plans and delivering key objectives.
- Strong experience in executive support or senior administrative roles.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to liaise with senior leaders, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- A proven track record in governance, meeting management, and providing high-level executive assistance.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of GDPR policies and data protection regulations.
- Previous experience in a local government or public sector environment.
- Proficiency in using modern technology to improve workflows and service delivery.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing change.
- This is a full-time position, offering £32.00 per hour.
