Chief Technology Officer (Fintech - Part-Time Temporary)

Due to exciting business growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for Chief Technology Officer to join a leading Fintech Payments company in the heart of London. We are seeking candidates with strong cyber security experience to support the team with managing the service provider, cyber security audits and managing the IT roadmap. This role is an ongoing temporary position with part-time hours of circa 2-3 days a week.

Duties of the Chief Technology Officer to include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.
  • Service Provider Management: Oversee and manage relationships with external technology service providers, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • IT Roadmap Development & Execution: Create and manage the IT roadmap, prioritising projects to support business growth and technological advancement.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement and maintain a robust cybersecurity framework, including risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response. Lead and manage all cybersecurity audits and compliance initiatives (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Infrastructure Management: Ensure the stability, reliability, and scalability of the company’s IT infrastructure.
  • Data Management: Oversee data governance, data security, and data analytics initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Budget Management: Manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Due Diligence: Perform technical due diligence on potential partnerships and acquisitions.

Requirements for the successful Chief Technology Officer:

  • Proven experience as a CTO or senior technology leader within the fintech or financial services industry.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex IT infrastructure and service provider relationships.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including experience with audits and compliance regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Strong track record of developing and executing successful IT roadmaps.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
