What you'll need to succeedMy client is looking for an experienced Data Protection Risk Assurance Specialist to join the organisation on a 3-month interim contract. Due to changes in the Risk Assurance Process, the client is looking for a Data Protection Risk Assurance Specialist with experience of a demonstrable understanding of information management, data protection and the associated legislation and advanced knowledge of the Data Protection Act provisions, including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and applying the necessary criteria effectively.The role requires SC Clearance; candidates without SC Clearance cannot be considered.You will be completing major assurance tasks in the department. You will play a key role in performing complex/high-profile Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), engaging effectively with project leaders and key stakeholders to identify and mitigate compliance risks.Essential Experience & Expertise The following are essential requirements for the role:* Experience of or a demonstrable understanding of information management, data protection and the associated legislation.* Advanced knowledge of the Data Protection Act provisions, including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and applying the necessary criteria effectively.* Proven track record of subject matter expertise; providing advice & guidance on data protection legislation queries.* Experience of managing a wide range of stakeholders, and of positively influencing colleagues that are not under direct line management, including senior stakeholders.What you'll get in returnThis is a very interesting position for an experienced Data Protection Risk Assurance Specialist, supporting a high-profile client in managing their Assurance requirements in line with the end of the financial year.
